den haag sculpture 08
'A good story is like an iceberg...' Ernest Hemmingway. Matthijs Bosnan.
'Through to you' Natasha Johns-Messenger 2008.
This was being window cleaned while we walked past, I rather liked the effect.
We also saw work by Barbara Bloom, Louise Bourgeois, Jenny Holzer, Sam Durant and Julian Schnabel to name a few. Unfortunately we missed Paul McCarthy's inflated 'Bush Head'.
Dan Graham's 'Children's Pavilion' was popular with the kids, partly because Louis was able to lord it over Stella and bar her, and all of us, from his glass Police Cubby.
There were more low lights than highlights, but I guess that is not unusual. Anyway, viva la giant boring sculpture, apparently.
Kiki Smith 'Reclining Nude'2005 and Roxy Paine 'Inversion' 2008
