Shoe Heaven

Is a place I shouldn't really be hanging out in, considering I'm poor, and I'm too busy.
But it is only Brookie's school holidays for a week or so and the lady needs shoes, SO, I took her to shoe heaven.
The window into shoe heaven...
I have about 5 pairs of Rocco's shoes. All of which I love, but are in various states of disrepair. So I carried a few pairs over to be re-soled. Unfortunately that is no longer part of what they do. I cried. They do though still make shoes. And I love the shoes they make.
hmmm
Now I need some genius plan to make piles of money so I can have six pairs of handmade shoes to swan about in.

Like these. Woody. For Me?
Or wood?

A blood thirsty animation. YELP.
A business card and a label.
An embroidered album cover.
A C3 birthday party. Tonight.
An exhibition here, and another here.
A much anticipated album launch Mum Smokes.
A magazine launch.

NOW, do some more work please Dell.

long gone

I have been reading the flog since I saw Fette's Gallery in Rotterdam at Project (or) so I was very pleasantly surprised to see my woods pop up on the Berlin version today. Yay.

Horse

I might've momentarily fell off the blog horse. I am swamped with things, to the point of nausea, and am feeling extra boring. So perhaps I'll talk about the weather.
It's good weather for sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea, and surprisingly warm enough to do some pottery in the backyard and not freeze my fingers off.
I baked a cake with Sailor and chit-chatted to an unimpressed little Iggy, who's big on sleeping and drinking so I thought we'd have heaps in common.
Also, there is a possum in the roof.

Love over Gold

Helen Johnson's Show at Sutton is so crisp and perfect, it's my favourite yet. For Burke and Wills/Work and Bills and a life sized Alex and that Rudd Money, and MORE. I'm going back on Saturday with Adam to share the love.

I feel like I have heaps of shows to catch up on, but managed to get to Gertrude Street and Dylan's dank funghi show at Lamington Drive when I was foiled by the fabric shop being closed for stocktake. Looking at art was much better than buying more fabric to put on my shelves.

Love over Gold!

monkey business

bananas
and peanuts
If it seemed like I fell off the edge of the earth, it's because I went home to the tablelands for a holiday. I am back trying to wade through weeks of unchecked mail and email, trying to get my brain and my body back into business...
