A good start

... For many reasons, not least a good party, much dancing, a thunderstorm and also much love.

Today we drove up to Kinglake to pick some raspberries and do some location scouting. I also managed to stop by roadside stalls for apricots and honeycomb. We didn't find the perfect location but we found a way for me to spend the evening, making Apricot Jam, Raspberry Jam and Raspberry sorbet.

Also, I have started up a page on Kiva for Chutney Club, an ongoing investment in start up businesses in an attempt to help alleviate poverty. Helping a real person or group make great strides towards economic independence and improve life for themselves, their family, and their community. You can see who we are supporting via our profile page. It was hard to choose, but we will reinvest in other people's projects as we are paid back. I also purchased on behalf of Chutney Club and everyone who helped us, a goat, a vegie garden, some fruit trees, some breakfasts for indigenous kids and a well via Oxfam.

Happy New Year to all of you. I hope it's a wonderful one for you, Yes! YOU! and I hope for a little more peace, love and understanding on a personal and universal level. It might also be a good time to thank you for coming here. I love that you do.
