We have had an abundance of tomatoes. Perhaps we even planted too many what with our excitement about the new house with garden beds. At first I wasn't going to be allowed to make relish with them, as the idea is to eat as many delicious home grown tomatoes as possible, but, we couldn't keep up.
I have made two batches of tomato relish and a tomato marmalade. There are still many more. Some are even the size of dinner plates, like this freaky one, pictured next to a normal sized one. I have also prettied up the Chutney Club blog, so go have a look. I now have to assess whether this is a years supply of relish, as well as some for gifts, or whether I need to make one more batch. You always need some tomato relish around. It's especially good with cheese and fresh tomato on toast. Double tomato!
