Eve, started with a trip into the belly of the beast, Knifelands. We easily found a carpark, but were arguing before we even got into air-conditioned comfort. I did manage to emerge with a bottle of Pimms in hand, so was marginally successful, but all other chores just seemed a little too hard and irrelevant amidst the other Christmas shopping craziness.

When we got home we MacGyvered a hammock from fruit tree netting and laid out in the backyard – with tea, beer and Christmas cake – in much better spirits, watching amazing storm clouds roll by. I hope you all have a good holiday and get to relax. It's looking like a hot and humid day here, the hammock should help. Much love and goodwill to you all. And, thank you for visiting. x

If it looks hot in these photo's – that's because it is.
I found a holly bush in the neighbourhood.
P.P.P.S. I also found the box with last year's decorations.
P.P.P.P.S. Hee Haw! We bought a donkey!

I can't, with the best will in the world imagine a Hot Christmas in a hammock :)
Wishing you all the best for a new year!
