I can finally share this amazing video with you. Denim Owl's new single, Blank Face. Some days, when I am lucky, I get to here this being rehearsed while I weed my garden, as we are neighbours. I also helped out painting the set and it's looks very pretty, like the little bird herself.

City
I had a catch-up with my lovely friend Irina on monday, which led to some time in the city. I was hunting for some specific and apparently impossible to find paint. I failed, but managed to see some good people instead, which is surely better than paint.
I saw this beautiful window installation at Pieces of Eight. I talked to Bonita in Zoologie. I hid in the cave at Alice. I got too tired to ride home, so caught the train with my bike. I saw a woman in a Picachu onesie on the train.

I say so...
I've always been a sucker for African fabrics. My aunt was based in South African when I was little and her postcards and presents were always such treasures. It was actually one of my favourite things about Paris, come to think of it. The stunning African women at the Belleville market, and everywhere, wrapped head to toe in a riot of colour and pattern. Talk about glamour!
So, I fell in love with this fabric when I spotted it in Pene's studio ages ago. When she appeared last week with new zippy purses made from it I couldn't resist. How could I resist? It has a phone texting someone 'I SAY SO'.

That's the trouble with working in a shop full of beautiful things. I have to try not to want it all. I have to promise with steely resolve not to come home with any new things this week. Wish me luck!
Oh. Edit. Presents don't count do they?

Ahoy
I had a moment this afternoon to have a look in Glitzern. I love all that loot. It's dripping with fists full o' treasure.

I coveted many things. Not least this handstitched parrot to wear upon one's pirate shoulder.

Nor these cat's eyes. Hmmm, perhaps they are owlish?

If I did get a fist full of Rudd monies I'd probably blow some of them here. If I didn't first spend it all on fabric first. Which is more likely.
Sadly. As I have piles of fabric, and no piles of jewels.
