something blue

ten types of blue
owls

I didn't actually manage to take many good photos, too excited and preoccupied, but here are just some of the blue frocks featured, and the amazing wedding cake and the beautiful bride.

I don't know why weddings always make me cry. But as soon as Sadie and Scout appeared as flower girls and walked through the crowd I was hopeless. It was lovely. Thanks Emma and Cass for a such a good day. We love you!

love the love

silhouette
We got all smartened up to go to Andy and Nat's wedding in Healesville on the weekend. It was lovely. There's nothing quite like people professing public love to tear up my eyes. It was all autumn leafy up there, so good to have a drive in the country.

It seems like it has been constantly BUSY round here. I am hoping to get back into focus and make more things this week. Things like scarves, brooches and maybe a bag. After I make some studio shelves so I can get organized and have a look at all this fabric.

the wedding

Yesterday Paul & Lydia got married. It was lovely. I cried. It's so nice to see everybody looking sharp and good things like dancing Dad's and little cousins, family and friends together.
Anyway, now I have a sore head from drinking too much beer, wine and metaxa. And sore feet from dancing the zorba and everything else. OUCH.

dutch smoked

I just tried to convince Adam that we need to buy a whole giant sausage of smoked cheese, which I could then carve into a handsomely woody log, which I would then carry around with a knife to whittle off little morsels for whoever crossed my path...

Perhaps I shouldn't mention that we also discussed cheese gender & gay marriage and the benefits of living in the worlds most liberal society, for Adam at least, cause without a doubt a big sausage of smoky cheese is surely masculine and if you were to marry a log of cheese, this would be the place to do it.

Whoops, too late.
