all tuckered out

early starts and working are both a little shocking to my system, or this kind of working... i am don russel's sidekick for the week. so yay for working outside in glorious weather...

i got home and made feijoa & apple crumble... thats about all i could handle. all tuckered out.

friday afternoon beers will be hard-earned for a change. see you then, eh.

brookie & i made a huge batch of her step grandmas famous tomato chutney and also delicous plum jam. we will be selling it along with some other crap at ceres market on saturday. see if you can pick us.

oh! autumn harvest. i love picking and eating and cooking fruit. if you have tamarillos that whats next on my list. makes a good pie and makes a great jam...

see you

I had to look 'feijoa' up.

Hooray for the internet(!) because I learnt:

"In more recent times Feijoa sellowiana has been renamed Acca sellowiana, but most sources still use the older name."

We (my housemate and I) made apple crumble last night, and I was very proud of that (I dont' actually cook very much at all) until reading of your efforts with an exotic fruit I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF.

If I work out where the hell the CERES markets are I shall be purshasing many comestibles from your stall and possibly still recovering from the hangover that I am currently working towards.

God ... 'purshasing'.

I'm even slurring as I type (hic).

OK, now when I am less drunk I realise I know where and what ceres is. And also, in the cold, slightly hungover reality of day, not sure what the blog etiquette is regarding stalking people in the real life and turning up at market stalls & etc ... possibly quite weird.

Apple Crumble! I've been wondering whether to stew those apples sitting in my kitchen...now I know what to do with them. I am being you in reverse Dell and living an artists' life this week, at home. I love it, you get to bake things.
tobytoby: I feel the same about Ceres: is tempting to go, I like their plants. But are we weird Dell stalkers?
I know someone who knows someone who knows...is that still stalking? Or a contemporary chain of events?

Apple crumble is pure genius, you definitely need to make it.

"a contemporary chain of events?"

I like that.

This 21st century is all very complex. I wanted a flying car, but all I got was this strange internet and computer-mediated realtionships.

i'm interrupting friday night beers to tell you both it's ok to visit me at my stall. i'd probably like it better if you introduced yourself...then we could smile knowingly at our nerd talk then get on with it. otherwise you could come, buy jam and blog all over town about how hungover & crap i was, etc....

Tt feijoa tastes like bubblegum, in the best possible way...

i like to meet new people...

make the crumble, you'll be happy monkeys...

food is love is...

eat it beat it

Yes I am going to make it.
Asked my chef housemate what feijoas were, I didn't know. He said you occasionally see the trees in Melbourne. Where did you find yours?
See how I go tomm. may do Ceres if in the mood. Thanks for being so welcoming and interrupting your well-earned Fri night drinks.
I would never blog about someone being hungover and crap as I am too often hungover and crap myself. Some things are too sacred for blogging.

CANCELLED the markets cause my lovely lady friend had to leave me & i wasn't up to doing it on my own in the maybe rain maybe sunshine....

see you next time.

That's a shame, but it looks like a pretty grey day.

Glad I checked the interweb, because meandering the markets in the rain looking for a stall that isn't there while nursing a rather visciously fuzzy head is probably not quite as fun as it sounds.

Why did I think several shots of sambuca was a good idea at 1am in the morning?
