200

yes, it's my 200th post. happy birthday blog. or something. too many? perhaps you big naysayers.

i drank afternoon beers at the rsl with cass.

duckboard drinking

and then at alice euphemia i was handed a bundle of mail from my friend kate. i lived with her for a while. it was a perfectly normal thing to do.

i got that train fine i talked about awhile ago... grrrrrrr...

i got two letters from a girl in new york who decided to write to me because she liked my photos on flickr. she may also want to steal my unborn child, but i like her letters so far, so...

i got a letter from my mum. YAY! MUM! with a drawing each from two of my nephews. YAY! DRAWINGS!

i got a letter from the hospital. er.

i balanced it out to an overall good result, good letters can negate bad letters.

but they don't pay train fines do they?

i also drank beer and enjoyed the company of some good people. i was complimented on my dancing by a charming man, who said, i'll never forget your dancing at that party 2 YEARS AGO dell... i forget, but that's probably a good thing....

i was asked, HOW COULD YOU BE SINGLE dell? um easy...

i sat at a table in hells kitchen pre-occupied by a 6ish yr old girl playing on the balcony of an apartment across the way... (she looked a little like i did at that age, blonde hair in face) totally oblivious to the whole bar full of drinking adults not more than 3 metres away... she was very busily playing with a torch and the pot plants in some obviously important ritual.

i still feel just that absorbed by seemingly unimportant stuff. yes i feel just like a child.

and my friends who are having babies and buying houses occasionally shock me into thinking that perhaps i should just grow up.

BUT NO.

now i must go OUT, before i check if ms fits has answered my questions yet. AGAIN.

oh my tip off was wrong. I regularly get Ms Fits sitings tip offs from anon blog fans (of her, not me). Although, I've heard all about your dancing, via this drop and roll club thing...I was at Hell's Kitchen on Wed night, there is a very nice man there who sold us a very good bottle of 2001 Riesling very cheaply. Now that's service.

was it the man with fuzzy black hair & glasses, the boss, he has given me shots of chilli vodka before, so i think of him in friendly ways... or was it mr marcus DASBUTCHER, shaved hair, whom, i also harbour friendly thoughts for? & not just becuase he gives me cheap beer. woo hoo.

DROP & ROLL dance club, bound for glory with a name like that!

heehee.

you should come, by the way, with your friends when i relaunch it publicly in a few weeks. if yr game.

Drop & Roll Dance Club ... that's is a most excellent name. What is it?

I thought I would grow up any minute, but I just can't. I have vaguely tried to, but it's hard when you like Lego too much and playing games and generally not being interested in whatever it is my friends are all increasingly absorbed in. I quite like the idea of having my own house, though - so I can paint it whatever colour I like (mostly green) and put silver stars on the walls. And then change my mind and satrt again. And babies are cool because they are pretty much a good way to get some more playmates. Although I have been reliably informed that this is not quite how it works.

ps. Got off mostly unscathed in today's Q&A.

Yes! Fuzzy black hair guy! He rocks. He said I looked like I appreciated fine wine (I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing) and he'd been saving this old bottle and was a shame to waste it on himself, so sold it to me for the same price as the other one I was going to get. And it was absolutely beautiful.
Hell's Kitchen is now my new fave place.
That's it, The DROP & ROLL Dance Club. Sounds fun.
