Pen has these lovely polka dot knitting needles instore, and I had to get some to knit up this lovely green mohair/alpaca/lambswool she gave me.
What better way to pass some spare time now it's getting cooler. And with a bit of encouragement and a few video tutorials I have made a breakthrough. I have never managed to knit both purl and regular stitches in one row without mysteriously increasing stitches in a confounding and discouraging manner. No more! I can knit cables! And now the horizon reaches out beyond scarves and beanies. Cable vest? Cardigan? Me?

that wool is edible. cables rock, its like learning how to see those 3d pictures - once you can do it it seems easy!
