Blooms

They opened this morning! They are huge! And amazing. Luckily Adam built a crutch for it yesterday, as the weight of the bloom may have been too much. It's an Orchid Cactus. I grew it from a cutting, and now I want them in every colour, even though they only flower for one or two days, it's worth the wait. If anyone has them in other colours, perhaps I could pinch a leaf?

And these I pinched from an abundant neighbourhood rose bush. With all this rain, they are dropping petals everywhere. The woody vase is from lovely Pene, whose recipe books I need to return, soon!
