I made some caramel popcorn for our garage sale tomorrow. I still have vague plans to make other things, but my priority should be finding things to sell.
If you are after a bargain, or just some caramel popcorn, come along.
There is a combined High St Garage sale happening on saturday, and we will be crashing Don and Julian's sale just behind the church in Eastment St, Northcote. I suspect there will be all kinds of treasures to unearth – furniture, clothes, plants, foods – from 10am.

Honey
Sweet stuff. A few honey related things.
1. Green tea in a bee cosy.
2. Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
3. The last of the Sunny Honey crumpets.
4. Honey and mustard and mushroom colours on the couch.

Choc Chips
So, um when I got to work the other day, there was a plate with a plum and an apricot and some freshly baked choc chip cookies laid out for me. I felt a little bit goldilocks, and more than a bit lucky. That Pene, she made my day.
Turns out it's a Trotski and Ash recipe, and I can vouch for the fact that they are delicious. It's also LUCKY when the beloved Trotski herself drops in with fresh strawberries topped with cream and crunchy bits of macaroon. No doubt, she's a good one, she made my day (it was a different day).
If I had something to cater for, like a luncheon or an afternoon tea, these are the ladies I'd be talking to.

Fudge
When Pene said she was in Strahan for her birthday I had one word for her. Fudge. It's one of those things that stays with you. My first visit was when I was 12, with my Aunt Pene. We were driving around the west coast of Tasmania, walking up mountains and through forests. The fudge shop at Strahan with it's giant bricks of fudge which they carved hunks off of before your hungry eyes, was truly something to remember. I have been back there twice since, though it has been a long time. So I was extra excited this morning when I got to work to a present all the way from Strahan. OHMYGOD. So creamy and delicious. YUM.
Also the buckwheat honey is amazing, and extra special thanks from an aspiring wild beekeeper...
Whose birthday is this?
Thanks Pene!
