lovely lovely rain

Well, that didn't work. Five minutes before the tram arrived came one motherfucker of a downpour. The kind where every inch of you is wet through in seconds. Socks, undies, shoes. You lose heat, and it rains more.

I didn't make it. The thought of being on a tram packed with people wet to the bone for forty minutes was too much. How's my art stamina?
Sorry hi god people. I'll probably go next week.

Rain like that is wonderful. I get excited like a kid doing nude rain dances in the backyard. SEND HER DOWN HUGHIE!
Though you do need to be able to peel off clothes and take shelter. Which is what we did.

We finished the night with red wine and a game of strip rage. One item of clothing for each bad song. Hold off if a good one comes along.

...And you know, go to bed when nude.

one thing i liked about last years commonwealth games.

i've been listening to moondog all afternoon, now i'm totally riding this tram tonight...

firstly NEW 07, at ACCA tonight... i love these big shows. and this year my mate nick is in it, so i'm going to toast him and drink champagne and maybe catch a glimpse of some art...

lego heaven

i was walking home from ACCA the other day when i spotted a cityscape through the waterwall at the ngv. ooo.
upon closer inspection i got very excited, it was all lego. OOOOO.
then i got sad, cause it was a tuesday. and the ngv can't afford to be open on a tuesday anymore.

NOW, why do i keep wanting to go in on tuesdays?

WELL. they have lego. and it's beautiful. this piece by olafur eliasson. go there and build stuff.



i was quite caught up in the kids conversation but managed to build this.

i can hear the moomba parade outside, should i get dressed and go watch from the studio windows? we do look down on swanston street. there are bagpipes.

adam and i discovered the moomba festivities by the river on friday night, totally by accident. look! rides!

we got cups of chips and jam donuts and belly aches.

yeah i've been keeping busy with lots of painting, some drawing and far too much bad late night tv.
